What is the theory training?
Theory training is an important part of your driving license journey and prepares you for the theoretical driving test at Trafikverket. At Helios Driving School we offer modern and flexible theory training that combines digital self-study with personal support from our experienced instructors.
The theory test covers a broad range of topics — from traffic rules and road signs to vehicle knowledge and environmental awareness. Our training is designed to give you a deep understanding of all these areas, not just to pass the test but to make you a knowledgeable and safe driver.
We adapt the theory training to your circumstances and study pace. Whether you prefer to study intensively over a short period or spread your studies over time, we give you the tools and support you need.

How the theory training works
Helios Driving School's theory training is built to give you maximum flexibility. You study at your own pace with 24/7 access to digital materials, and have the option to supplement with personal guidance from our instructors.
When you sign up, you get immediate access to our digital platform with all the study materials and practice tests. The platform is user-friendly and works on computer, tablet and mobile — perfect for studying on the bus, at home or during breaks.
Throughout your training, you can contact our instructors with questions and for support. We can book individual theory sessions where we go through the topics you find difficult, or simply check your knowledge level before the test.
We recommend doing practice tests regularly during your study time. When you consistently achieve passing results on the practice tests, you're ready to book your real theory test at Trafikverket.
Requirements and tips for the theory test
The theory test at Trafikverket is computer-based and consists of 70 questions. You have 50 minutes and need to answer at least 52 questions correctly to pass. Here are our tips for maximising your chances.
- Study regularly — Short, frequent study sessions are more effective than long marathon ones.
- Do practice tests often — The more practice tests you do, the more comfortable you become with the question format and time frame.
- Focus on weak areas — Use practice test results to identify areas that need extra attention.
- Ask for help — Don't hesitate to contact our instructors if you encounter difficult questions or topics.
- Plan the test day — Book your theory test at Trafikverket well in advance and make sure you're well-rested on test day.
